As CEO of AmTrust International Underwriters, he spearheaded impressive growth, increasing revenue sevenfold across 29 countries and strengthening the balance sheet by over €1.5 billion.

Holding a master’s in leadership and management, and Chartered Director certification, Ronan is committed to fostering inclusive team cultures where everyone thrives. At Carrow Insurance, Ronan leverages his deep industry knowledge, strategic insight, and stakeholder management expertise to deliver exceptional service to brokers and partners.

He is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion committee at the Compliance Institute of Ireland, and sits on the Board of Care Alliance Ireland, a registered charity.

As Business Development Underwriter, Matt drives Carrow’s underwriting strategy and portfolio management while delivering expert insights and enhanced service to market partners. With over 30 years of experience across MGAs and direct insurers, he has consistently delivered profitable underwriting results in both Personal and Commercial lines. His most recent role as Head of Underwriting at Euro Insurances DAC showcases his mastery in managing complex portfolios.

With deep experience in specialised insurance markets, Matt brings proven expertise in underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and analytics. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed a substantial premium portfolio spanning 14 product lines across 20 European countries, demonstrating his ability to navigate diverse markets and regulatory environments.
